Learn the craft of film acting from the Pros with actor Robert Blanche and director Vincent Caldoni. We offer full-force acting classes for adults and youths at our well equipped studio without the usual hang-ups on theoreticals. This is a class conducted by working industry professionals designed to help you reach you maximum talent potential and give you a leg up finding work in the industry.
Our process removes barriers and gets you straight to the honesty at the center of our craft and utilizes up- to-the-minute technology to get you started marketing yourself as a screen actor.
What you’ll get…
Here’s what each five week course offers:
- 4 intensive sessions focused on direct scene work in our theater-style performance space in Portland.
- 1 on camera performance session, written for you and shot as a complete scene for the movies. Examples from past sessions are posted below.
- The films made of your performance will be viewed and critiqued by industry professionals, such as casting directors, working actors, directors and producers.
- A DVD of your class work and definition video of your scenes available on-line.

Who
Robert Blanche divides his time between Portland and LA working on projects such as working with actors and directors like Robert Deniro and Oliver Stone. He has also been seen on television shows such as ER, Monk and Medium. Robert also has lent his talents to local independent cinema like Thumbsucker and What The Bleep Do We Know. He embraces the challenges and rewards that come from instruction and has proven record helping people get the skills they need to do great work on camera and get into the world of cinema. Vincent Caldoni is an award winning director and screenwriter and Portland native. His works have screened internationally and won awards at various festivals. He has a deep understanding of what it takes to make the actor-director relationship flourish. Vincent Caldoni’s resume on IMDB
Portland Acting was formed by Vincent Caldoni and Robert Blanche to create a positive environment to coach actors and jump start the careers of individuals who get out there and do great work.

Private Acting Sessions + Scene Work with Robert Blanche
This is a great way to rapidly improve your film acting and supplement our coursework. Also it can be a great idea to sign up for a private session or two in preparation for that big audition.
Screenwriting Boot-Camp with Vincent Caldoni
Private or Group sessions. Writing that movie script you’ve always wanted to write is actually far less difficult than you may think. I offer a simple, flexible course that instructs you on the style and format of screenwriting as well the all important guide to structure and character development.
Reel Work with Vincent Caldoni
Having a reel available on-line and in DVD format is quintessential for getting roles but often working actors have only held small roles or feel type-cast by what they have shot. I offer a service where we go out and shoot brief clips of any nature and can edit them into an existing reel to show casting directors, agents, and producers exactly what you are capable of.
